The Anglican Church

Anglicanism is a worldwide body of Christians responding to God’s revelation through Jesus Christ. Anglicanism brings together the authority of the Bible, the historic faith, and the beauty of structured prayer.  It is rooted in tradition, yet contemporary in practice. It is united in substance, yet diverse in expression. We are a global family living out our faith in local communities.

The Christian Faith

I believe in God, the Father almighty,

creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.

He was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

Music

Dennis and Leslie Ungs

Music is intrinsic to our worship at St. David's Church.  In fact, it was there from the beginning at our founding as a parish in 2009, and carried through all our venues.

Our aim is to provide support and leadership in congregational singing, whether it be the singing of the Psalms, Service Music, Hymns, or less formal genres.

Our first goal is to connect music to the Scripture texts on any given day—keeping in mind the seasons of our liturgical calendar and sermon emphasies.

We welcome and encourage participation and feedback by offering to play accompaniments to vocal and instrumental solos and also take hymn/song requests. We also invite groups to our town, utilizing parks in more informal settings.  We celebrate with robust song and fellowship every March 1st on St. David's Day.

Dennis and Leslie Ungs serve, directing music in all its manifestations since 2009.

Dennis received a BM (1980) in Organ Performance and Liturgics from the University of Iowa.  His teacher and mentor was Dr. Delores Bruch.

Leslie  received a BM (1980) in Piano Performance from the University of Iowa under Carole Lesniak-Thomas.
